SENIOR ‘CORE’ CRICKET COACH

PURPOSE To be one of our small group of core coaches who dedicate the majority of their weekly hours to Invicta coaching. This role will be part of the Invicta Coaching management team helping to shape our coaching programmes.
REPORTS TO Invicta Directors.
SALARY Range of £18,000 – £24,000 depending upon hours worked
BACKGROUND Invicta employ a combination of Core and Flexi-coaches in order to meet the varying demand during the course of the year. The Core Coaches are those who lead winter training and head up our holiday courses and academy sessions. We anticipate the Core Coaches working somewhere between 20 and 30 hours per week with a constant level of work guaranteed throughout the year. The role is not on a fixed salary but on a monthly timesheet basis with rates of £25 per hour or £120 per day depending on the activity.
REQUIRED SKILLS
  • Minimum ECB Level 2 coaching qualification
  • First Aid, DBS and SYC certificates
  • Ideally a current or former top-level player (County Age Group, Premier League)
  • Very organised with strong attention to detail
  • Good communication skills
  • Trustworthy
  • Proactive, punctual and reliable
  • Understanding of need to balance cricketing requirements with financial constraints
REGULAR TASKS
  • Lead area coaching sessions during the winter
  • Lead holiday courses working with junior and group coaches
  • Lead sessions as part of the Invicta schools coaching programme
  • Provide input to coaching programme (drills, rotations, technical areas of focus, etc.)
  • Manage area matches as required
  • Participate in area trials and provide feedback to Directors
  • Communicate availability and holidays/conflicts in a timely manner
  • Take registers at the start of each session using the Book When application
  • Respond to emails from administration, Directors, customers, and any other external parties
  • Manage company equipment
  • Mentor junior coaches
  • Continual self-development, improving skills and experience
  • Submit timesheets on a monthly basis
